Abstract

A clamping device for a lathe includes a clamp base and a power unit. The clamp base is positioned at one side of a cutter unit supporter of a rotatable cutter unit and moving together with the cutter unit supporter. The power unit consists of a large power member and a small power member, located at one side of the clamping device, and the large power member is adjustable with quickness, and the small power member is micro adjustable. The clamp base has an upper and a lower clamping member, and the gap between the upper and the lower clamping member is adjustable by the power unit for conforming to the size of a work to be clamped therebetween. If a work to be processed is comparatively long, the clamping device is automatically adjusted in its locations with the location of the rotatable cutter unit so that the work may be finished in its processing at a time once after it is fixed tightly on the lathe for processing, in order to save time and labor as possible.
