Abstract

This invention relates a computer system and method for transforming the computer status between a working status and a suspend-to-RAM status. The computer system comprises a processor, multiple peripheral devices, a power management device, and a detector. When the computer system turns to the suspend-to-RAM status, the power management device turns off the working electric power of the process and keeps the working electric power of the peripheral devices. Subsequently, after the detector detected a wake signal generated from the computer system, the power management device drives the process working by the working electric power.
