Abstract

This invention relates to a measuring apparatus of micro-drill core thickness and the method thereof, wherein the measuring apparatus applies automatic computer connectivity to control the operations of a driving system on a platform, a line laser scanning system, a laser micro inspection meter controller, a point laser instance measuring system, and a laser co-focus measuring meter controller so that the measurement of the micro-drill core thickness can obtain precise measured value via integral operations of computer measure programs. The present measuring method controlled by computer connectivity includes following procedures: (A) to activate computer measuring system programs of micro-drill core thickness; (B) to initiate measuring platform program and to retrieve the mechanical top point; (C) to place micro-drill in the clipper by hand; (D) to implement parameter configuration, if yes then go to (E) procedure, if no then finish the measuring system program of micro-drill core thickness; (E) to select micro-drill type; (F) to select measuring range and span; (G) to implement micro-drill measurement; (H) to advance the measuring platform to original work point; (I) to implement laser measurement; (J) to output the measured value of micro-drill core thickness and store the data; (k) to set next to-be-measured micro-drill, if yes then repeat procedure from (B) to (K) to measure the other micro-drill core thickness until the measurements are completed, if no then close the measuring program of the micro-drill core thickness. Through the measuring apparatus and related method stated above, it is able to reduce the measurement cost, improve the test efficiency and productivity, enhance the competition capability and increase the economic benefit by computerized automatic control.
