Abstract

The present invention provides a non-destructive infrared thermography inspection method for bridge structure, including: employing the infrared thermography instrument for scanning the concrete blocks of both bridge part with perfect/non-defect surface and bridge part with defective surfacee, in which the infrared thermography will exhibit significant distinction; then, proceeding the whole area inspection on the bridge surface, so as to collect the thermography for each block; after completion of preliminary analysis, archiving the required thermography images and inputting them into a computer; and, employing an analysis software to read the thermography file for data diagnosis, and further detecting the damaged locations and damage level of the bridge surface to be based on to take suitable maintenance or strengthening procedure to preserve the safety for bridge structure periodically and regularly to provide associated data, which can be applied for assessing the quality of material, engineering and structure for the bridge as the base for engineering acceptance.
