• 是適當的反應性化合物,如:三芳基銨鹽、三芳 基鱗鹽、二芳基銃鹽和芳基三價碘鹽。 因爲反應本質得以,如,引入親水基和親脂基,所以 ’通式1所示有機化合物之基團可視潛在應用範圍而調整 。用於其他應用,亦可使此基團具離子、聚合或反應性。 藉由此基團,可改變碳材料之於應用上感興趣的多種性質 。例如’可提高碳材料之親水性,使得碳材料可不使用潤 Φ 濕劑地於含水介質中形成安定分散液。 碳黑、石墨粉末、石墨纖維、碳纖維、碳纖絲、碳奈 米管、碳織品、玻璃質碳產物、活性碳或富勒烯可作爲碳 材料。 爐黑、氣黑、槽法碳黑、燄黑、熱黑、乙炔黑、電漿 黑、轉化形成的黑灰(自D Ε 1 9 5 2 1 5 6 5得知者)、含矽的 黑灰(自W098/4536 1或DE 1 96 1 3 796得知者)或含金屬 的灰黑(自 WO 98/42778得知者)、電弧黑灰(化學產製法 之副產物)可作爲碳黑。 ,200538517 (5) 此碳材料可藉初步反應而活化。可以使用在橡膠混合 物中作爲強化塡料的碳材料。可以使用彩色黑灰(blacks) 。其他碳材料可爲:傳導性碳黑、用於U V安定作用的碳 材料、作爲橡膠以外之系統(如:瀝青或合成材料)中之塡 料的碳材料,或藉還原劑用於冶金術的碳材料。
本發明亦提出一種用以製造根據本發明之具有機基團 之碳材料之方法,其特徵在於使碳材料與通式1所示之有 機化合物反應。 通式1所示有機化合物可藉混入或噴上而施用於碳材 料上。通式1所示有機化合物可以粉末、熔融物或溶液形 式施用。特別有利的方式中,通式1所示有機化合物可於 產製碳材料期間內施用,以於具所要求溫度的反應器中添 加有機化合物爲佳。用以修飾碳材料之反應以於無溶劑方 式進行爲佳,但也可以於溶劑(以易揮發的有機溶劑爲佳) 中進行。用以修飾碳材料之反應可於-8 0 °C至3 0 0 °C進行, 以8 0至25 0 °C爲佳。可藉機械能、振動能(如:超音波)或 射線能量(如:微波射線)、熱射線、光射線、X -射線和電 子射線輸入能量。 根據本發明之具有機基團之碳材料可作爲橡膠、合成 材料、印刷墨液、書寫用墨液、噴墨墨液、淸漆和塗漆、 瀝青、混凝土和其他建築材料或紙中之塡料、強化塡料、 UV安定劑、傳導性碳黑或顏料。此外,根據本發明之具 有機基團之碳材料可作爲冶金術中之還原劑。 本發明另提出一種分散液,特徵在於該分散液含有根 -9 - 200538517 (6) 據本發明之具有機基團之碳材料。 此處,有機基團可經修飾以用於各種分散介質。藉此 ,經極性有機基團修飾的碳材料特別適用於極性介質·。極 性介質可以是溶劑(如:醇、酮、酯、酸、胺、二醇、二 醇酯或鹵化溶劑,但它們也可以是具極性基團(如:_基 、醋、胺、殘基和/或經基)之低聚物或聚合物。具有機 基團(如:-S03X、C0〇X或OH,其中X如H、鹼金屬離 φ 子或銨離子)之碳材料特別適合含水介質。具疏水基(如: 烷基、烷氧基、芳基和/或雜芳基)之經疏水修飾的碳材 料特別適用於疏水性介質(如:脂族、芳族、雜脂族和/ 或雜芳族烴)。其極性介於相對非極性疏水性介質和強極 性介質之間之介質(如:醚和/或極性和非極性介質之混 合物),特別相符之修飾(如:使用胺基、羧基或鹵素取代 基)特別適用。 根據本發明之分散液可用於印刷墨液、書寫用墨液、
根據本發明之具有機基團之碳材料具下列優點: • 以極性方式(如:使用-S03M取代基)修飾之碳材 料更容易分散於極性介質(主要是水)中, • 以非極性方式(如:使用烷基)修飾之碳材料更容 易分散於非極性系統(如:油)中, • 經適當修飾之系統中具極性或立體龐大基團之碳 材料經靜電或立體安定,不須其他輔助物質(如··潤濕劑) 用於安定, -10- 200538517 (7) • 經根據本發明之方法修飾之碳材料易安定存在於 分散液中並具有更佳的色彩性質(如:色彩深度和帶青色 的色彩), • 具結合染料之碳材料之色調改變, • 具其他反應性取代基之碳材料可用於系統(如: 橡膠)中之偶合和交聯, • 經反應修飾的碳材料有助於碳材料連結至聚合物 蜃,和 • 藉此可使得碳材料的副產物、鹽、酸和水氣含量 低。 【實施方式】 貫例中’使用碳黑 FarbrupFWl、FarbrupFW18和 Printex 95作爲碳材料。所述碳黑是Degussa AG的產品。
