Abstract
The invention relates to a rolling-mill stand comprising four stand columns (1), which are firmly anchored with a bearing plate (6) and in which axially immovable, rotationally free feed shafts (3) are supported, whose upper and lower ends are provided with opposite-acting threads, which accommodate an upper and a lower cross-member (4, 5) and through which the roll sets are adjustable in opposite directions to one another, whereby the stand columns (1) concurrently serve as guides for roll chocks (2) and for accommodating the bending blocks and a short-stroke adjustment cylinder (7) located between the lower back-up roll set (8) and the lower cross-member (5) for exerting the rolling force.
