In a writing implement (1), an outer tube of the writing implement (1) has a front end opening (71) from which and into which a writing core member (6) is appearable and dispppearable, and a tubular member receiving section where a tubular member (91) inserted from a tubular member installation opening formed in the rear end of the outer tube is detachably installed. The tubular member (91) capable of receiving functional parts (93-95) having predetermined functions is detachably installed inside the outer tube. Inside the outer tube are a tubular member guiding section for guiding in the forward and backward directions a to-be-guided section formed on the outer surface of the tubular member (91) and a tubular member latching section for latching the tubular member (91) so as not to axially move while installed in the tubular member receiving section.
