Abstract

An apparatus and a method for reading and classifying data are provided. The method converts and classifies signal read or received in order to obtain temporary data and fuzzy index data. Then, an error check and correction process is performed. When an error-free result can not be obtained after the error check and correction process, the temporary data is replaced according to the fuzzy index data. Then, the error check and correction process is performed again. In the present invention, those of the temporary data might be incorrect are classified. The classified data are replaced when the error-free result can not be obtained, and then the process is performed again. Therefore, the possibility of successfully receiving and reading data is increased.
