Abstract

A production method of polyvinyl alcohol carriers of good gas permeability which are embedded with slurry microorganism or biocatalyst, which comprises the steps of: admixes slurry microorganism or biocatalyst, a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution of the concentration of 5-30 weight % and a water soluble polyethylene glycol; subsequently puts the mixture in a boric acid aqueous solution of the concentration of 3 weight % to saturation to undergo gelation treatment for 10 minutes to 2 hours to form gel spheres; takes out the gel spheres and immerses them with boric acid or borate aqueous solution of the concentration of 3-20 weight % for more than 30 minutes to harden the spheres and obtains the polyvinyl alcohol carriers of good gas permeability which are embedded with slurry microorganism or biocatalyst, in which the polyvinyl alcohol has an alkalinity of above 70%, a degree of polymerization of 1000-3000; and the polyethylene glycol has an average molecular weight of 500-800 and uses 5-55 grams of polyethylene glycol per 100 grams of polyvinyl alcohol.
