Isbu bulus, 1,3-butadien'in ya da 1,3-butadien ihtiva eden bir hidrokarbon karisiminin katalitik hidrosiyanizasyonu suretiyle, birlesmemis C=C ve C=N bagina sahip monoolefinik C5-mononitril'lerden olusan karisimlarin üretilmesine mahsus bir usulu alakadar etmekte olup, söyle vasiflandirilmistir: hidrosiyanizasyon, (1) sayili genel formüle ait en asagi bir tek veya eden en asagi bir metalosenik fosfor (III) ligand'ini ihtiva eden en asagi bir metalosenik fosfor (III) nikel (0) kompleksini içeren bir katalizörün mevcudiyetinde cereyan etmektedir.
