Description

The proposed steam dryer for locomotive boilers is installed in the boiler's steam boiler and consists of two concentric round boxes with a gap covering the vapor recovery pipe. The outer box rests on a pan to collect water separated from the steam discharged by means of pipes under the evaporation mirror of the boiler.

A feature of the proposed steam dryer is that the inner cylindrical box has a blind cover with a collar on top. A lid that serves to collect particles of water that are separated from the steam while turning the stream is provided with pipe slips for draining the collected water into the pan.

The upper part of the pipe 7, which drains the dried steam, has a bead 2, below which a pallet 3 is fixed, having a central opening along the diameter of the pipe 7.

On pallet 3 is supported box 4, into which box 5 is inserted.

The latter is attached to a deaf lid 6 connected by several tubes 7 to a box 4. The lid 6 has a cylindrical juice 8 on the outside, forming a flange 9 over the lid 6. The upper part of the pipe is tightly wrapped with a metal net W. A tube 72 is attached to the pallet 3, the lower ends of which, the passage near the wall of the boiler drum, end with an oblique cut.

Wet steam, approaching the annular} hole 73, throws water particles on juice 8 and cover 6. Water accumulating on cover 6 by gravity flows through tubes 7 into catchment space 74, and drops of water descend from skate 8. along the curved channel between the pallet 3 and the box 5 through the gap 75 into the space 74 where water streams flow from the inner surface of the box 4. The next turn of the steam jet finally separates the smallest water particles falling on the grid 70, from which water droplets flow into space 74. Dried pas p, passage under cover 6, enters the pipe 7.

Separated and water entering space 74 is removed by gravity through pipes 72 into the water space of the boiler.
