Description

When learning to play bowed musical instruments, it is important to teach the person to properly bow the string along the strings, keep it perpendicular to the strings, and excite the latter in the proper distance from the stand.

The proposed device makes it possible to signal the wrong movement of the bow along the strings during the game and has the feature that it is made in the form of two contact metal plates (Fig. I, 2 and 3) included in the electrical signal circuit and closing this circuit when the shaft bends bow of one of the plates.

The device consists of two terminals 7 for connecting to the electrical network of a transformer 2, an electrical signal 3, two contact terminals 4 connected to contact plates 5 and 6 that close the signal circuit through the secondary winding of the transformer, two holders 7, axis S, spring clamps 9, covering with their ends 70 faces of the fingerboard 77 of the instrument, strings 72 and the body 73 of the instrument. Contact plates 5 VI b are arcuate-shaped, freely covering the strings of the instrument, and mounted on the lateral edges of the neck 77 of the instrument using clamps 9.

If the bow is misplaced, the shaft of the latter, touching plate 5, bends it and brings it into contact with the second plate 6. As a result, the circuit of the electrical signal 3 is closed and the latter is activated.
