Description

The author's certificate No. 48020 describes a device for screwing drill pipes with a conventional chain wrench, the handle of which is provided with a rope wound on a removable sleeve and used to drive the latter into rotation when unwinding the rope.

In the proposed device, the removable sleeve is made of two pivotally connected halves provided with toothed dies or toothed crackers.

In FIG. 1 shows a top view of a sleeve with dies with a partial cut; FIG. 2 is a side view of the sleeve with a rusk; and FIG. 3 is a view from above.

The hub for screwing drill pipes consists of two halves 7 and 2 (Fig. 1) fastened with a hinge 3. The half / is equipped with two toothed dies 4 and 5, and the half to 2 with one dice 6. To the end of the half 7 there is a toothed plate 7, and by the end of the half a 2-spring plate 5, which can be hooked onto the teeth of the plate 7. On the upper part of the sleeve there is a hook 9.

Instead of toothed dies 4, 5, 6, a toothed rusk 10 (Fig. 3) with a handle 11 can be used, and instead of a lock consisting of plates 7 and 8, a lock formed by an earring 72 with a lever 13.

The sleeve is put on the upper end of the expandable pipe and secured with a constipation; throwing the end loop of the rope on the hook 9 of the bushings, give a few turns in the direction opposite to the clockwise movement so that the rope winds around it in several turns, then the other to be screwed with it is lowered and the sleeve with the turns of the rope is lifted on it. The gripping of the pipe is carried out with the help of toothed dusters 4, 5, b (Fig. 1) when pressing the rope or using the gear crackers JO (Fig. 3) when pressing the handle 77. Winding the rope from the sleeve with a winch causes the pipes to screw down.
