Description

This invention relates to; signal devices to indicate the limits of water levels in a steam boiler with a float device for directing steam to the whistle enclosed in a box, taken outside the boiler and connected to the steam and water spaces of the boiler.

In the proposed signal device, two floats are placed one above the other, unrelated to each other and controlling as they move, depending on the state of the water level in the boiler, valves that open the passage for steam to the corresponding signal whistle.

In FIG. Figure 1 shows a vertical section of a signaling device for indicating the limits of water levels in a steam boiler; FIG. 2 is a side view with a partial cut.

The box L of the signal device is moved outside the boiler and is connected by a tube 24 to the steam one, and by a tube 23 to the water spaces of the boiler. A housing 14, 15 is hinged on the hinge 2 of the pipe 25 pivotally mounted in the box A, inside of which there are floats 6 and 18 which are not interconnected. the hub Ia and the lower annular float 18, which is aligned with it, is associated with a valve 13 placed in the housing part 14. Thanks to the hinge boom 7, 2, 25, the device always retains its vertical position at all positions of the boiler.

At a normal level of water in the boiler, both floats of 6 liters 18 are located in the device so that the valves 12 and 13 that they control overlap the mouth of tubes J and 5. leading to signal whistles 26, 27 of the corresponding tone, and no steam comes to them.

When the level of water in the boiler rises, water passes through the opening 19 of the lower ring float 18 and valve 75, and as the pressure rises above the limit, the float 6 and the associated valve 12 begin to lift; the steam in the upper part of box A, through the sleeves 9 and the openings in the lower part of the valve 12, enters the valve 3 opened by the valve and a whistle 27 of the corresponding tone signals a change in the amount of water in the boiler.

When the water level is subsequently lowered, the float comes down and the valve 12 closes the tube 5, thus stopping the steam from accessing the whistle.

When the level of the zody in the boiler drops below the limit, the float 75 also

lowers and the valve 13 will open the mouth of the tube 5 and the steam coming from the top of the device will have access to the whistle 28, signaling in a different way about the lowering of the water level limit.
