Description

The proposed spring shut-off valve for tanks with flammable liquids consists of a double cone valve, the hollow stem of which is provided with openings for discharge through it 5 | {liquid} when the valve is opened.

The attached drawing shows a vertical section of the valve.

The tank 1 is provided with a hollow tube 2 screwed into it, having inside, in the lower part, the inside diameter of the tube 2, a block 3 with two conical holes 11 and 11. The tube 2 in the upper part is equipped with a screw cap 4, provided with a hole through which the hollow open at the upper end of the rod 5, at the lower end of which, respectively, the cone-shaped openings 11 and 11 of the pads 3, a double cone valve B-7 is mounted. Under the action of the springs 9 on the washer 10, the rod 5 rises, closes the tapered hole 1G and takes the position a indicated in the drawing by the dotted line. Simultaneously with the rod, the washer 2 is moved, taking the position b.

To release the fluid, the washer 2 is pressed by hand, so that the rod 5 is lowered and the valve B-7 is opened. When the vessel turns over, the liquid enters through the openings 8 in the cavity of the rod 5 and pours out through its open end.
