Description

The known method of purifying ash graphite with hydrochloric acid does not provide high purity of graphite: its carbon content is 97–98 ° C. It was proposed to treat the ash graphite with sodium carbonate at a temperature of 900-950 ° C, followed by washing with water and a BO / O-NHY solution of sulfuric acid. This significantly increases the carbon content of the purified graphite (99.6-99.9o / o). According to the proposed method, the graphite to be purified is treated with an aqueous solution of sodium carbonate and then coated with alkali graphite crystals at an initial temperature of 100 ° and a final 340-400 ° C in a furnace without access of air. In the same furnace, graphite, impregnated with sodium carbonate solution, is subjected to heat treatment at 900-950 ° C for 20-30 minutes. After this, the graphite is cooled to a temperature of about 100 ° C and shifted with the hot condensate, then the resulting pulp is filtered, the graphite is washed with water and used sulfuric acid solution. After treatment with sulfuric acid, the graphite is washed with cold condensate and n. The subject of the invention is a method of purifying ash graphite with chemical reagents, characterized in that, in order to increase the purity of graphite, it is treated with sodium carbonate at a temperature of 900-950 ° C, followed by washing with water and a BO / O-NHY solution of sulfuric acid.
