Abstract

FIELD: veterinary microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of the strain Chlamydia psittaci ВГНКИ "SR" N 14 showing stable immunogenic properties, insignificant reactivity and high cytopathic action. Vaccination of swine gestation pigs with inactivated vaccine prepared from the strain Chlamydia psittaci ВГНКИ N 14 by twice intramuscular injections at the dose 10 ml provides the increased safety of newborn piglets (93.3% as compared with 43.6% in nonvaccinated control animals). EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of vaccine. 2 tbl
