Description

The proposed counting device with staggered Neperovaya rulers, in order to more conveniently read the result, has a movable bar with windows, also located in a step manner.

The non-temporal rulers 1 (Figs. 1, 2), which in this device are cut across the Pythagorean multiplication table, are located on the main board 5 of the device step by step and have digits corresponding to each ruler at the ends, of which the multiplicative number is made. When the steps 1 are located on the main board 5, the width of the steps must be such that the numbers of the individual lines are on the same line, i.e. arranged in the order that is necessary when performing the multiplication of two numbers in the usual arithmetic way.

On the upper part of the device there are numbers from one to nine, each of which can be a multiplier.

For a more convenient reading of the result, obtained from the numbers in the rulers 1, there is a movable strip 2 with windows 3 arranged in the same way as

and rulers, stepwise; the window 4 of the strip 2 allows, when moving the latter, to see the multiplier figures, as already mentioned, applied on the upper part of the device.

FIG. 2 as an example, taking the multiplicand number 32457, composed of numbers printed on the ends of the rulers 1; the movable strip 2 is set by window 4 by factor 4 4, and the result is determined by adding the numbers lying one above the other and visible in windows 3; it gets equal to "129828. Thus, installing one or another ruler 1 in the device, it is possible to obtain any multiplicand, moving the bar 2 back and forth, in window 4 the desired single-digit multiplier is set, and in windows 3 the desired result.

A counting device with non-ruler rulers, characterized by the fact that Nepérovo rulers 1 (Fig. 1, 2) are located on the main board of the device in steps, and for a more convenient reading of the result is a movable rail 2 with windows 3, also in steps, and with window 4 on top through which multiplier numbers are visible, applied at the top of the device.
