Abstract
FIELD: coating by vacuum evaporation. SUBSTANCE: process of chemico-thermal machining of steel and cast iron parts is conducted in plasma of glow discharge at temperature 500-680 C by multiple alternation of stages of isothermal holding: first stage in ammonia, second stage in argon. After multiple alternation of stages of isothermal holding additional isothermal holding is conducted at 500-600 C in ammonia-propane mixture in the course of 2.0-2.5 h. EFFECT: increased wear resistance of parts under conditions of corrosive media due to formation of nitrocarbide zone on machined part.
