Description

То же самое получалось и при сухой перегонке хлоргидрата этилендиамина со щелочью .There is a known method for decomposing the hydrochloride salts of ethyleneimine, polyamines and ammonia using caustic to obtain free ethylene diamine from them. It is also known to obtain ethylene diamine using caustic from dichloroethane and aqueous ammonia. In this case, one and a half tons of extremely deficient caustic is consumed per ton of ethylenediamine. Attempts to use lime instead of caustic did not give a positive effect, since during the process of heating ethylene diamine hydrochloride with lime in an aqueous medium, the mixture foamed strongly and the initial products were obtained in the form of a suspension, as a result of which free ethylene diamine was not distilled. During the process of obtaining free ethylene diamine by dry distillation of salt with lime, partial decomposition of salt occurred and large losses of ethylene diamine were obtained. The same happened with the dry distillation of ethylenediamine hydrochloride with alkali.

In the proposed method of preparing ethylene diamine as a base, a salt in an aqueous solution and calcined lime are also used.

The process for preparing free ethylenediamine is as follows.

In a 100 ml Vurtz flask, 37.5 g of hydrochloride salts with a water content by weight and 36 g of calcined lime are charged. The mixture is gradually moistened with strong warming and a liquid pasty-like mass is formed, which must be thoroughly stirred. In the case of the presence of ammonium chloride in the salt, abundant emission of ammonia occurs, which is distilled off completely at a temperature of 102 °. With a further increase in temperature to 165 ° C, a mixture of water vapor, ethylenediamine and polyamines is distilled off. A solid mass consisting of calcium chloride, lime and a small amount of high boiling polyamines remains in the distillation flask. Water is poured into the flask / solid, the solid is gradually loosened and removed from the flask in solid form.

Thus, ethylenediamine is easily released as a base.
