Description

The present invention relates to a woodworking machine, with the aim of pre-cutting the blanks of the rims of the wheels of a peasant's way to a certain thickness by using a device for strengthening the rim, a circular circular saw and a feeding mechanism.

On the bed of the proposed machine there is a table 13 on which is placed a device for strengthening the rim consisting of knife-shaped plates 3, which serve as supports for the side surface of the rim 1 being processed, and of friction clamps 2 with handles mounted on a common ring 14 reinforced on the table 13. The turntable 15, rotatably mounted on the axis of the machine bed, is equipped with circular saws 6 mounted on the vertical axis at a distance from each other equal to the required rim thickness. The feed mechanism consists of a drive pulley mounted on an axis of a screw 16, coupled with a screw wheel 9, stuck on a shaft on which a gear 10 is put on, which is in internal gearing with a gear

The rim to be machined is placed on the side of the knife-shaped plates 3, which are on the turntable 13 of the machine, and is fixed by the friction clips 2 by turning one of the handles of the latter. Then, using the handle 4 to the rim, in the direction of the arrow 5, the rotating circular saws b, installed in the barrel 15, fixed at all times during the processing of the rim with a corresponding preliminary slot, are brought to the rim. At the extreme position of the tiller with the saws in the rim, the feeding mechanism turns the table into rotation (the direction of rotation of the table and the saws is indicated in Fig. 2 by arrows) with the help of the handle 7. When the trimming of the rim is completed, the saws 6 are retracted to the non-operating position, the friction clips 2 are released and the machined rim is removed from the machine table.
