Mechanizmus pôsobenia prostriedku podľa vynálezu spočíva v tom, že roztok polyméru v kvapalnej alebo gélovej forme po nanesení na pokožku vnikne veľmi dobre i do pórov na pokožke a po krátkom čase vplyvom odparenia značnej časti rozpúšťadlového systému z tenkej vrstvy prípravku sa vytvorí vysoko adhezívna hmota, ktorá pri trení takto upravenej pokožky odstraňuje i z hĺbky kožných pórov nečistoty a absorbuje ich do seba, pričom sa táto hmota od pokožky ľahko oddeľuje a samovoľne odpadáva i s nečistotami. Takýto systém čistenia pokožky je veľmi vhodný najmä do sťažených podmienok, nakoľko pre dosiahnutie čistiaceho účinku nie je potrebné použiť žiadny ďalší pomocný prostriedok, ako napríklad vodu, handru a pod. Pokožka je po aplikácii prostriedku čistá, a suchá. Okrem toho nie je potrebné na dosiahnutie dostatočného čistiaceho účinku použiť v zložení prostriedku žiadne mechanické abrazíva a okrem vody a alkoholu ani žiadne iné organické rozpúšťadlá, čím si uvedený prostriedok zachová dobré hygienické a ekologické vlastnosti.
