V osobných vozňoch sa tento problém rieši napr. použitím vodidla, ktorého čiara silového pôsobenia prechádza stredom nápravy, alebo dvoma vodidlami, ktoré vynútia rovnobežné vedenie dvojkolesia vo zvislom smere. Tieto riešenia však prinášajú so sebou skutočnosť, že dvojkolesie sa viac nedá radiálne nastaviť a tým sa zvyšuje opotrebenie kolesa a koľajnice pri jazde v oblúku.
