Abstract

Conventional water filtration systems for use with domestic faucets require complicated assembly for incorporation with the faucets. The typical configuration of these water filtration systems, when assembled with the faucet, results in an inefficacious setup that renders its usage inconvenient. Embodiments of the invention provide an adaptor that allows simple integration with existing faucets. By providing the adaptor with structurally inter-coupled but functionally segregated portions, the adaptor is able to be assembled with, for example a sink attached faucet without further work to the sink or faucet. Channels defined within the adaptor enable routing of water to both the faucet and a filter attached to the adaptor while presenting the filter in full view and access of a user of the faucet.
