Abstract

A portable armoured booth capable of accommodating and shielding 2 to 4 persons from small ballistic fire is disclosed. The booth comprises a frusto- conical shaped base and a detachable roof, both of which are comprised of pluralities of bullet-proof plates. The roof has a convex top surface. Preferably, the base and roof are hexagonal in shape. In one embodiment, a framework of tubular elements outlining the base allows armoured plates to be braced onto the framework. Windows with armoured shutters is provided on the forward- or hostility-facing walls of the base to enable person within to view the outside and discharge firearms. A door is provided on one of the back-facing wall for personnel and supplies access. The frusto-conical shape of the base and the convex roof enable multiple units of the base and roof to be stacked up for mass transportation or storage. Additional armour plate may be affixed onto the inside surface of any of the wall plate to withstand armour piercing ballistics. Figure 5 accompanies the abstract.
