Abstract
The device has a spring unit to move a compressor (1) from a first to a second position and tension the drive belt (5). The unit generates a force, which is mainly constant independently of the of compressor movement into second position. The unit has a first spring element (8) between compressor and carrier (7), to generate an adjusting force which decreases with increasing movement. A second spring element (14) generates an adjusting force, which increases with increasing movement.
