Abstract

In the manufacture of a rotating electric machine the stator windings are obtained by drawing a high-voltage cable with an outer semiconducting layer through the slots in the stator. Spring members 13c are arranged in the stator slots in a deactivated state, i.e. they do not exert any spring action. - In the deactivated state, the spring members do not impede the passage of the cable when the stator is wound. When winding is complete the spring members are activated to abutment against the cable parts, clamping them firmly in the slots.
