Abstract

The mechanism holds a sheet material (18) inside the cold forming press, so that some parts of the material move as it is pressed against a die by hydraulic pressure (P) which is applied via an elastic membrane on one side of the material. Two or more separately mounted press components (12,13) create a gap (17) to receive the material and act as the braking mechanism.
