In an arrangement in a water bed foundation of the type having soft sides, and wherein the water mattress of the water bed is supported by a bed foundation (1) and an upholstered frame (3a-3d) cooperating with said bed foundation (1) and comprising two longitudinally extending frame members (3a, 3b) and preferably one or two transversely extending frame members (3c, 3d), it is suggested that each of the frame members (3a-3d) at its lower portion comprises a stiffening means (4), as well as attachment means (6) for direct or indirect affixing of said frame members (3a-3d) in relation to said bed foundation (1).
