Abstract

An operating cylinder (4) has a double piston arrangement (20, 21) where a pot-shaped outer piston (20) is drawn onto an inner piston (21). At its end which projects into the outer piston (20) the inner piston (21) has an axial body (28) which is movable in an aperture (27) in the bottom (25) of the outer piston as a function of the relative position of the pistons. This enables the inflow into the inner chamber (31) situated within the outer piston (21) to be varied in order to influence the movement of the inner piston and the power of that movement.
