Abstract

The invention concerns a cable terminal which consists of a U-shaped body 1 and a locking part 2 attached in the opening of the body. The cable terminal should be sprung to compensate for heat expansion in the cable and the busbar. In already known terminals the springing is achieved by an indentation 5 in the base of the body, which however makes the terminal higher. According to the invention the shanks of the body have an inclining part 9 and the locking part 2 is supported on tongues 11 located on the free end 8 of the shanks, whereby the inclined parts straighten themselves out in connection with heat expansion in the cables. <IMAGE>
