Abstract

A storage box for e.g. floppy discs comprises a bottom part (2) consisting of a bottom wall (4), two sidewalls (6, 7), a front wall (8) and a rear wall (5); a cover (3) consisting of a cover part (9) and, extending downwards therefrom, a rear edge flange (10) and side edge flanges (11, 12) which, in the closed position of the box, abut against or adjoin the upper portion of the bottom part; and a first hinge member (13a, 13b) formed on each side edge flange and adapted to be hingedly connected to a second hinge member (14) on the corresponding sidewall of the bottom part. The cover being pivotable to a first position in which the rear edge flange rests against a base, on which the box is positioned, and the cover part is directed upwards. The cover has at least one recess (18, 19) which is formed in the bottom wall (4) and which, as the cover (3) is pivoted past the first position, allows pivoting thereof to a second position in which the rear edge flange is received in the recess and the cover part (9) rests against the base.
