Abstract

A fruit-squeezing machine for installation in public places comprises a pair of upper driven drums 3 formed with hemispherical cavities 4 for receiving a citrus fruit between them, the fruit being conveyed to a knife 6 which divides it into two halves, the machine also comprising a pair of lower driven drums 7 synchronised with the upper drums 3 and provided with hemispherical heads 8 which engage the half-fruits in the cavities 4 to squeeze them. The juice passes through a filter 15 into a tray 16 and is dispersed into vessels via tube 17. The machine has a casing of transparent material so that the squeezing operation can be observed. <IMAGE>
