Abstract

A vapour-liq. separator comprises: (a) a vertical riser with an enclosed top divided into 2 parts by a frusto-conical section; (b) a set of curved arms situated around and extending into the upper part of the riser; (c) 2 more sets of arms located below the upper set; (d) a cylindrical member which accepts the mixt. from the curved arms and discharges part of it through a series of perforations; (e) a retaining lip attached to a base plate and to the cylindrical member at its upper end; (f) means to discharge the sepd. liq. and vapour.
