Abstract

In the case of motor vehicles it is normal for linings (3) to be releasably fastened to the outside of the body (2) in order to reduce the air resistance of the body (2) and/or to give the vehicle a special appearance. A connection is used for the fastening which is composed of a reception part (10) and a plug-in part (9), one part (10) of which is fastened to the inside of the lining (3) and the other part (9) of which is fastened to the outside of the body (2). During assembly, the reception part (10) and the plug-in part (9) are combined to form a solid connection. An edge (19) of the lining (3) is to rest against the outside of the body (2) without giving rise to play. This is achieved by means of a leaf spring (17) which is prestressed on the lining (3) at one of its ends together with a part (10) of the releasable connection (9, 10) in such a way that the edge (19) of the said lining (3) is held so as to rest resiliently against the outside of the body (2). <IMAGE>
