Abstract

A device pertaining to emptiable transport receptacles 1, such as containers, of the type which have mutually opposing side walls 3,5, at least the one 5 of which is pivotable about its upper end section and is pivotably connected by its lower part to a base plate 7, drive members 14,16 being arranged to pivot the base plate 7 and the side wall 5 connected thereto into an emptying position in which the side wall 5 and the base plate 7 are guided into an oblique position in which they principally form an extension the one for the other. The object of the invention is to achieve a device which offers a better angle of tilt and the nature of which is such that a container can only be emptied by the action of drive members and also in those cases where the bulk material, as a result of compression, freezing or the like, has acquired such physical characteristics that the container contents are in the form of a single large lump. These objectives have been achieved by virtue of the fact that the drive member 14-16 is arranged to pivot the base plate 7 about a pivot axis 12, 18 in the lower part of the receptacle closely adjoining the other side wall 3 and that the first side wall 5, via link arms 9 and/or sliding guides 10, is arranged so as to be moved upwards and inwards in the receptacle whenever the base plate 7 is swung up, the angle to the base plate gradually increasing. <IMAGE>
