Abstract

A sound damper comprises a mineral fibre body 10, a duct 11 through the body 10, a cover 20 which surrounds the body, openings 23, 24 arranged in the cover each meeting one of the ends of the duct. The mineral fibre body 10 is produced in such a manner that its fibres are essentially randomly orientated in parallel planes which form a right angle with the main direction of the duct 11. The body 10 is preferably formed by one or more annular discs which are cut out of a mineral fibre mat produced in a conventional manner. <IMAGE>
