Abstract

Reinforcing material comprises fibres contg. deposited SiO2 fume, pref. in an amt. 5-150 wt.% on wt. of fibres. Pref. the fibres from a web and the SiO2 fume comprises particles formed between the fibres of the web. Fibres may be glass, organic, C or metal or a combination of these. Also claimed is a fibrous slurry comprising a slurry of fibres and SiO2 fume.
