Abstract

Suspended constituents and dissolved gases are removed simultaneously from water which is to be injected into an oil well. The water is led to one side, namely the inlet side 11i, 12i, of a water-permeable membrane 11, 12, while a vacuum is maintained in a gaseous phase close to the membrane on the other side of the membrane, namely the outlet side 11u, 12u, and the water on the inlet side of the membrane is divided into a flow, namely the permeate flow, which forces its way through the membrane from the inlet side to the outlet side and is used for injection into the oil well, and a flow, namely the reject flow, which passes the membrane on the inlet side of the membrane. <IMAGE>
