Abstract

Conductor (1), which may be an overhead cable for electric trains, is detachably connected to earthing cable (2) by a clamp which can be applied and tightened by an operator. The conductor (1) is inserted into groove (11), and caught in recesses (12), so that it lies obliquely to the groove (11) as the clamp tilts under the weight of the earthing cable (2).
