Abstract

The present invention relates to a cartridge filter, in which one or more filter bags 18 are fixed to at least one wall 10. The wall is detachably fixed in an opening in an intermediate wall between the purified and untreated gas side of the filter unit. The wall has the shape of a flat plate and the filter bag 18 is provided with a holding device 20 containing beads 24 that surround a groove 26. The filter bag 18 is divided up by longitudinal seams into a plurality of separate filter cells 55. The wall 10 has a number of openings 12 connected by passages 14. The filter bag 18 is inserted into openings 12 in the wall, so that the beads 24 on both sides enclose the sides of the wall and a tubular insert 32 is introduced into each opening 12, with the result that the filter bag 18 is pressed against the edge 15 of the openings 12 and of the passages 14 forming a sealing connection with the base of the groove 26. <IMAGE>
