Abstract

A security door, which comprises a sheet (1) of a first metal and a sheet profile frame (2) of a second metal, which is fastened to said sheet. The two metallic materials have quite different coeefficients of expansion and consequently, if said sheet (1) and said sheet profile frame (2) are joined by welding, the welding seam develops cracks, which are detrimental to the strength of the security door. In order to solve this problem strips (3) of said first metal are welded to the rear face of said sheet (1) and said sheet profile frame (2) is fastened to said strips (3) by means of a mechanical joining agent, e.g. bolts (5).
