Abstract
The present invention relates to new compounds of general formula <IMG> (I) where R1 and R3 is hydrogen, alkyl, or the hydroxyalkyl group, R2 hydrogen or the hydroxy group, X is H or CO(CH2)6R4, n is 0 or 1, and R4 is the residue of a suitable support e.g. a macromolecular dextran gel. The present invention also provides a method of preparation of these compounds, i.e. of 9-(aminoalkyl)-8-hydroxy-adenines or derivatives thereof. The above compounds may serve as ligands for the preparation of modified polymerous dextran gels for affinity chromatography of S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine hydrolase.
