Abstract

A method for franking a postal dispatch with the aid of a label (1) having a first part (3) which is intended to be attached to the dispatch, and a second part (4) which is intended to serve as a receipt or as a certificate of postage. The label (1) is made of a heat-sensitive paper having the ability to produce red frank-markings (5-16) at selected locations on the paper.
