Abstract
This invention concerns an apparatus for measuring alkalinity and pH in naturally occurring water, where the apparatus is submerged in the water in its testing position.According to the invention, the apparatus is characterised by containing, in its interior, a burette (17), which can be moved into close contact with a cylinder (19), and a glass electrode (pH-electrode) (21) extending from this cylinder (19). The apparatus also includes devices (25,28) to supply a set amount of water to the burette (17) at the side of the cylinder (19) where the glass electrode (21) is positioned, together with devices (26,27,31,32), which pass a reagent to the same part of the burette (17). The apparatus further includes devices to agitate the solution in the burette (17) and devices (35) to discharge the exising solution from the burette after the completion of the testing (17).<IMAGE>
