Abstract

A pneumatic tool (1) has a pneumatic motor (6) which can be driven selectively in either direction under the control of a trigger (30) which operates the piston (33) of a control valve. When the trigger (30) is moved anticlockwise from a central point, the valve allows compressed air to pass from coupling (3), through duct (60), the valve, ducts (66, 16 and 17) to drive the motor in one direction. Movement of the trigger (30) in the opposite sense directs the compressed air from duct (60) to duct (67) and thence via chamber (68) and passages (24 and 25) to drive the motor in the opposite direction. <IMAGE>
