Abstract

An air supply arrangement for positioning on or close to the floor in a room comprises a column which extends in the vertical direction essentially through the living zone of the room. The inside of the arrangement is connected to a duct for receiving an air supply flow. The casing 5 of the arrangement is open over a considerable part of its circumferential surface, and an air-permeable distribution mat 4 is arranged along this surface. This mat consists of flexible foam plastic with open cells and is located immediately inside a perforated plate 6 with a degree of perforation of 65% which belongs to the casing of the arrangement. Inside and at a distance from the mat, there are two perforated throttle plates 2, 3 with a mutual spacing. This arrangement satisfies exacting requirements with regard to a low noise level and uniform air distribution. <IMAGE>
