Abstract

The invention relates to the production of impregnated tubular posts of laminated wood veneer. The veneer leaves are impregnated by immersion in or spraying with a preserving solution and dried. Then the veneers are combined in a gluing press to a continuous web, coated with glue and rolled around a coil in a controlled manner. Then the product is cured under pressure and heat. The posts can be reinforced, insulated, surface-coated or surface-treated. <IMAGE>
