Abstract

For the insertion of a pane, preferably a double glazing unit, in a window frame 5 having a groove for receiving an edge section of the pane 1, 2, 3, a profiled body 18, 20 is used for insertion in the groove. The profiled body is configured with a surface which is intended to form, in the inserted position of the body, a path in the groove, and is configured so as to facilitate the mounting of the pane and to offer material savings in the window frame itself. Between the bottom of the groove and the pane a number of holders 10 are fitted, which are fixed in position by the side edges 8, 9 of the groove and have slots with undercut sections for the insertion of corresponding sections on a section 20 of the profiled body which is orientated at right angles to the surface of the pane and which thereby closes off the outer part of the groove and fixes the pane. The holders are also configured to essentially fill the cavity between the edge of the pane and the bottom of the groove, the pane being guided in the directions for its extent. <IMAGE>
