Abstract

Freezerproof and ovenproof packaging containers of heat-resistant cardboard, preferably with an inner coating of polyethylene terephthalate, are provided with at least one closure part, which is closed by an adhesive agent which contains an aqueous emulsion of a vinyl/acryl polymer, for example a copolymer of ethylhexyl acrylate and vinyl acetate, and which adheres and does not become brittle at temperatures below freezing point, for example down to -40 DEG C, and which remains adhesive at high temperatures (for example up to 200 DEG C or above) and allows pulling off of the closure part. The packaging containers can be filled and closed by a process in which the adhesive agent is applied to the filled packaging containers and is dried by a hot gas, whereupon the closure part is closed to form a tight seal.
